Very interesting museum: a plunge into the East German past and daily life in the GDR. The set-up with reconstructions of apartment types, a kindergarten and the presence of various simulators makes for an engaging and exciting visit. Having purchased the ticket earlier, I did not queue at the entrance.

The exhibit was very intersting and interactive, so it didn't get boring at all. Headout helped us, to plan our day in advance
We expected more from the museum. The booking without Paypal and ticket transfer to the wallet is also no longer up to date.

It was just a short trip and introduction to Berlin. The card is easy if you stay longer and want to visit many museums, very easy for public transportation though. The directions to acctivate the card are not clear. There are no vending machines or anything at the public transport stops to acctivate your card and it appears that if you have the PDF letter that you are automatically already activated at the desired date and time.

It was nice not to have to worry about tickets for the metro. However I'm not sure it was worth it for the price. I would recommend if people make a plan to do a lot of discounted things and visit all the museums on museum island. However for me and how much I used it, I'm not sure it was really worth it.
especially "carefree" public transport, but also the Museum Island where, unfortunately, the Pergamon Museum is closed.

The person who answered our questions was kind and took the time to talk to each person, answering all our questions. I appreciate that! I liked that he was nice to us, but also that he was nice to other people.

All our activities in Berlin were wonderful. It's a shame it was only three days.

Why have to print on A4? This is not economic.

It was convenient to be able to use public transport and have a free access to some museums, however I would expect better discounts or benefits with a card which should promote the city
We could simply hop on any means of transport and travel. It was very convenient and uncomplicated.

Museum Island offers a crash course in world civilizations - from ancient Egyptian artifacts to Greek and Roman sculptures. You'll see the bust of Nefertiti and other iconic sculptures, 19th-century paintings, historic coin collections, and much more.
Yes, but ticket lines can be long, especially during peak season (May to September). Booking online 1-2 weeks ahead secures your spot.
While it's possible, it's not recommended. The museums have extensive collections that take time to explore. To avoid getting overwhelmed, plan to visit two museums per day for a more in-depth experience.
No, once inside, you can explore at your own pace during the museum’s opening hours. Just be sure to arrive early enough to have ample time before the museum closes.
Yes! Check out the small yet impressive Byzantine art collection at the Bode Museum. The Alte Nationalgalerie has a stunning rooftop view that many visitors overlook.
No, the DDR Museum is not part of Museum Island but is located nearby. You can easily combine it with your Museum Island visit if you plan accordingly.
Mornings right after opening and late afternoons tend to be quieter. Visiting midweek rather than weekends is also a good strategy to avoid crowds.
Absolutely! Museum Island offers stunning architecture, peaceful riverside views, and diverse art collections beyond historical artifacts. Plus, the cultural atmosphere makes it an interesting experience for all.
No pets are allowed inside, except for service animals like guide dogs. Be sure to bring proper documentation if you're traveling with a service animal.
