Storyline
Set in Berlin in 1990, immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall, We Are Alive, the Berlin Musical follows siblings Nina and Mario as they leave their hometown to start anew. The pair finds refuge in a lively squat called Konsum Hoffnung, building an unconventional community alongside dreamers, artists, and outsiders. However, their newfound freedom is interrupted when their mother, Rosie, whose hair salon has just closed, unexpectedly arrives to win her children back. As they navigate love, ambition, and identity, their intertwined journeys beautifully capture the resilience and hope of a generation discovering what freedom truly means.
