Ku'damm 59 - Das Musical is a sequel to Ku'damm 56, a musical based on the 2016 series of the same name that aired on ZDF. The franchise traces the story of the Schöllack women as they navigate 1950s Berlin. The latest addition comes from the mind of multi-award-winning author Annette Hess, whose nuanced portrayal of German women during a time of turmoil and change pairs beautifully with choreographer Jonathan Huor's dance numbers and the intricate stage designs of Katrin Nottrodt.

The Story

Set in 1959, Ku'damm 59 - Das Musical follows the Schöllack sisters and their mother as they run a dance school in Berlin. Amid an era of great change, the women navigate their journey through self-discovery, a deep desire to break free from the shackles of the past, and a thirst to help shape a new era of emancipation.
